Explore the ‘Convergence in Print’ @ PAMEX 2023

The stage is all set for PAMEX 2023 (March 27-30, 2023), featuring over 450 exhibitors from the Print, Label,Converting, Flexible Packaging and Corrugation Industry. This year’s theme is “Convergence in Print,” reflecting the trend of printers diversifying into industry segments beyond their primary focus and offering new applications, enhancements, and embellishments. The pandemic has further accelerated this phenomenon, and emerging technologies have made it possible.

The emergence of new technologies, such as digital printing and 3D printing, has made it possible for printers to diversify their services and cater to a broader range of customers. As a result, print technologies have converged with other industries, such as packaging, labeling, and flexible materials, creating a synergy that has opened up new possibilities and opportunities for the print industry. Convergence in print technologies is set to revolutionize the printing industry and transform it into a more versatile and dynamic field that can cater to a diverse range of customer needs.

More recently, one of the award-winning entries from India at WorldStar Global Packaging Awards 2023 was Black Dog – Black And Gold Reserve Cartons, which have been created by usage of a variety of printing technologies (combination of offset & gravure processes) and various value addition operations like dripoff-gloss texture, multi-colored hot foil stampings, intricate embossing of key elements to represent the brand concept that nature relies on harmonious interaction of its elements. This is just one example of convergence, there are so many more.
