Minosha, an authorized RICOH distributor in India, has been upbeat over the last three decades through its strong pan-India network of seven offices associated with more than 200 business partners across the country. On the company’s newest developments and increasingly expanding installation base of RICOH digital production presses, Prasanna Rajagopalan – National Business Manager–Production Printing, Minosha India Limited, shares an insight into it during an exclusive conversation with Print & Publishing.

Minosha’s tagline ‘connect.experience’ is an extension of RICOH’s ‘imagine.change’. The company’s portfolio of the lines of revolutionary RICOH products is redefining the commercial and packaging printing landscape in India. Talking about the latest RICOH digital colour production presses in the portfolio, Prasanna points at the RICOH Pro C9500 and RICOH Pro C7500, which the company launched in India in the latter part of 2023, and now increasingly installing across the country.

When asked about the profiles of those who are increasingly investing in the two new RICOH models, Prasanna elucidates, “Commercial printers who had been in the light production category but eager to escalate to the mid production level are those who are investing in these newly launched models which are fully packed with new features and added capabilities.” He adds that the Fiery-driven RICOH Pro C9500 and RICOH Pro C7500 are really the ‘game changers’ in the digital printing landscape of commercial printers whose works also include short-run packaging & label jobs.

Prasanna R with RICOH Pro C9500

Prasanna continues to say that feedbacks from those who have recently installed the two new and upgraded RICOH models are good and tremendous. According to him, Minosha has so far installed good number of RICOH Pro C9500 and RICOH Pro C7500 across India and the installation base is steadily expanding.

RICOH Pro C9500 is upgraded from its predecessor RICOH Pro C9200. Likewise, RICOH Pro C7500 is an upgraded successor to the RICOH Pro C7200x. Prasanna says those commercial printers currently using the 7200 model are switching to the new 7500 model which has upgraded features to augment graphic prints with new print quality and innovation. “Both commercial and offset printers are opting for this new 7500 model because of its added features like the 5th Color Station which can add additional textures & effects to graphics,” he mentions, adding that the press’ make ready time is great as users don’t waste time in changeover which takes barely 10–15min.

The 5th Color Station of RICOH Pro C7500 features seven colour tonners of Gold, Silver, White, Clear, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, and Invisible Red, which eventually makes the press a marvel of 11-colour printing. Designed and engineered to print compatibility on a broad range of light and heavyweight media upto 470gsm, RICOH Pro C7500 delivers graphics in resolution of 2400x4800dpi at the speed of 85ppm. On other side, RICOH Pro C9500 is yet another digital workhorse which can run at the upgradable speed of 135ppm, producing high-end print graphics of 2400x4800dpi, on varieties of media ranging from 40gsm up to 470gsm.

In the post-pandemic time, which means nowadays, printers are eager to hit the road to recovery with new products and offerings revolving around impressive innovations and creative applications. In this respect, Prasanna mentions that the RICOH Pro C9500 and RICOH Pro C7500 are the ideal choices for those who want to ‘change the game’. In his message to their customers, he conveys, “Minosha as a whole is customer-centric and end-to-end solution provider. We are here to sell not only products but solutions. We want our customers know ‘what they buy, why they buy &what the strength of Minosha is.”
