Indore-based Vijayshri Packaging Ltd had commissioned its third brand new printing machine in June 2024, this time a brand new KOMORI Lithrone GL 637 IR UV combi press which is specifically configured with medium & high volume packaging board printing.

This is Vijayshri Packaging’s third ‘big ticket’ investment with KOMORI in the last four years. Speaking on these regular investments, Ayush Jain, Director of Vijayshri Packaging Ltd, comments, “Earlier, we used to run pre-owned machines only; but since 2021 we have gradually replaced the old with the new. These brand new machines have helped us scale up production, maintain colour consistency and shorten the turnaround time.”

Vijayshri Packaging has strategically invested in different formats and capabilities of the brand new machines to ensure quick ROI (return on investment). The first press was a KOMORI 6-colour machine in the 75x105cm format capable of combi printing. The second press was also another KOMORI 6-color machine in the 64x94cm format capable of conventional printing only. Despite of different intended applications, the quality measurement (scanning) systems, software and other functions of the machines have been kept common to facilitate crew commonality and training.

Ayush continues, “The hallmark of our growth is our ability to choose the right technology at the right time. The KOMORI Lithrone GL 640 was our biggest technological leap towards boosting quality and quantity of our products to a whole new level. This thought process also applies to post-press, where we constantly develop new structures, shapes, and solutions.”
