The timeless impact of print!
Print never goes out of fashion. Every time, people debate about print vs digital revolution, a print innovation catches our eyes. More recently, Tata Tea Premium transformed The Times of India newspaper into a canvas of national pride. Its vibrant jacket ad, splashed with the colours of India’s rich art and culture, unveiled the “Desh Ka Garv” collection — a series of hand-painted kettles inspired by regional masterpieces. More than an advertisement, it was a celebration of how print can carry emotion, heritage, and storytelling into the hands of millions in a single morning. This is just a tip of the iceberg, we see so many print innovations every day!
Brands like JoySpoon are showing us that packaging is storytelling. A label can be a silent salesman, a cultural ambassador, and a sustainability statement all at once, using HP Indigo’s technology. Even online delivery companies like Amazon, Blinkit, etc have shown that even a simple shipping box/bag can be a storyteller. By turning its packages into moving billboards of creativity, Amazon transforms the mundane act of delivery into a brand experience. Each package becomes a moment of engagement, carrying not just products, but messages, causes, and cultural connections straight to the customer’s doorstep.
Similarly, Blinkit has mastered the art of turning its delivery bags and boxes into bite-sized stories. Whether it’s quirky one-liners, playful illustrations, or seasonal greetings, every package delivers more than just groceries, showcasing how print can spark delight and build loyalty.
More recently, Heidelberg India led its high-impact delegation across Shanghai, Tianjin, and Beijing. The delegation didn’t just see the latest presses in action, they saw the future of workflow integration, automation, and precision manufacturing. The lesson was clear: productivity and creativity no longer live in separate worlds; they must exist in the same print run.
The horizon is not just about faster presses, smarter workflows, or greener substrates — it’s about the mindset to embrace change before it becomes necessity. Both machinery manufacturers and pre-press suppliers are trying their best to educate the printers as well as end-users on the same.
Happy printing!
