6,190 visitors from 50 countries and regions highlight ASEAN’s rising demand for corrugated packaging solutions at CorruTec ASIA
The 3rd edition of CorruTec ASIA was successfully held from September 17- 20, 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok, reinforcing its role as ASEAN’s dedicated platform for corrugated packaging technologies and solutions. Co-located with the wellestablished PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, the exhibition demonstrated how corrugated packaging continues to power supply chains across e-commerce, FMCG, logistics, and industrial sectors — cementing its position as a critical engine of growth for the region.
Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, remarked, “CorruTec ASIA 2025 has clearly shown why a focused platform for corrugated packaging is so important. The growth in visitor participation and the quality of business outcomes reflect the sector’s strength and potential across ASEAN. A growing platform for a growing sector
This year’s edition welcomed 6,190 trade visitors — a 15 percent increase over 2023 — underscoring the corrugated packaging sector’s strong momentum. Across the show floor, leading brands presented the latest corrugating machinery, energy-efficient production systems, sustainable raw materials, and advanced automation technologies — all aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and circular production. The emphasis on sustainable practices, digitalisation, and supply chain optimisation reflected the industry’s direction and the exhibition’s relevance.
Helping converters achieve these goals, Sean Keogh, Director of BFT Corrugated Printing Supplies (Australia), explained, “By replacing outdated aluminium chamber systems with carbon fibre alternatives, we can reduce ink and water use, improve print quality, and increase press speeds to keep up with market demand.” On the importance of the Asian region, he added, “It’s always valuable to have a strong presence in Asia, and CorruTec ASIA is an important part of connecting with this dynamic market.”
Returning exhibitor Goettsch International, a USbased global supplier of corrugated, converting, and recycling machinery, shared a similar perspective. Manuel Aparicio Perez, Sales Director, noted, “We are happy to be here at the exhibition to see the Thai and wider Asian markets. Overall, we saw healthy visitor traffic and made some valuable connections throughout the exhibition.”
Cross-sector participation and visiting groups
CorruTec ASIA also drew strong international engagement, with 20 percent of visitors arriving from outside Thailand. More than 50 international and local delegations were in attendance, representing key sectors such as FMCG, food and beverage, retail, logistics, and e-commerce. Among them were notable industry associations including the Hong Kong Corrugated Paper Manufacturers’ Association (HKCPMA), the South India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association, and the Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India (FCBM), underscoring the exhibition’s reach and relevance across the global corrugated packaging community.
For local visitor Kanokwan Sikham, Design Engineer, Prime Box Manufacturing, the co-located exhibitions proved to be a highly practical sourcing platform: “It was a very engaging experience and useful for us to keep up with new solutions and technology.”
Knowledge and collaboration in focus
Beyond sourcing, CorruTec ASIA also served as a hub for learning and exchange, with seminars spotlighting topics such as circular economy practices, automation, and smart converting solutions. Veerachai Monsintorn, President of the Thai Corrugated Packaging Association, joint organiser of CorruTec ASIA, emphasised, “The exhibition continues to grow in scale and importance, reflecting the strength and relevance of the corrugated sector in Thailand and across ASEAN. CorruTec ASIA is a vital meeting place for our industry — bringing together manufacturers, technology providers, and end-users to exchange ideas, showcase innovation, and build partnerships that respond to rising demand from e-commerce, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods. The synergy with PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL adds even greater value, ensuring visitors can access the full spectrum of packaging, printing, and corrugated solutions in one place.”
Driving ASEAN’s corrugated future
Together with PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, the two exhibitions welcomed 309 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, and created a synergistic platform for business, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration across the corrugated packaging, printing and packaging ecosystem.
