Konica Minolta initiated to save the under-privileged children

Konica Minolta Business Solutions participated in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon by sponsoring the education of underprivileged children as a CSR initiative in collaboration with Smile Foundation. Few representatives from Konica Minolta ran in the event on November 29, 2015. The Smile Foundation will use the sponsored amount for the education of the underprivileged children which will help them in building a bright future.

Konica Minolta’s CSR initiative is implemented in close partnership with Smile Foundation. Through the programme, Konica Minolta works to enhance the quality of education by promoting learner friendly environment and school community relationships. With this in mind, in collaboration with Smile Foundation, Konica Minolta has been supporting initiatives that benefit deprived children in India, and thereby facilitate national development, since the country has the largest number of children worldwide who are not enjoying the same standard of living or rights as the majority of children do.

“Our voluntary contribution to the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon is aimed at contributing to existing relief efforts. We deeply appreciate the commitment and leadership of Smile Foundation managing the standard of living of the underprivileged children through “Send Every Child to School” campaign under the Mission Education Programme,” said Yuji Nakata, managing director of Konica Minolta.
