Tasveer Digital Press, Surat, has chosen to expand is portfolio of creative services by adding the ‘extraordinary’ size, performance and versatility of the Xeikon 8500 Digital Press. The company is known for its heritage of innovation and its exceptional customer service. The Xeikon 8500 Digital Press carries that heritage forward by adding even more versatility to its offerings.

Timir Naik, owner of Tasveer Digital Press, states, “We have been operating in the digital CMYK segment for the past six years and we have always thought out of the box in terms of expanding our business. The Xeikon 8500 press is a great addition to our production portfolio with its width of 20 inches and unlimited print length. Its extraordinary size in digital CMYK will allow us to cater to various market segments including commercial printing, graphics, weddings, oversized photo albums, photobooks and corporate marketing materials, including posters, catalogues and magazines. By offering different sizes, that are not available from our competitors, we will continue to set ourselves – and our customers – apart.”

Tasveer Kendra, a name that has been synonymous with photography for a long time, was founded by Kanti Naik in 1948. His sons, Krushan and Kavin Naik, joined the business in 1979 handling numerous videography and photography orders across Western India. In 2000, anticipating the changes being wrought by digital technology, a second location in Adajan, Surat, was launched.

Its latest acquisition is the Xeikon 8500 Digital Press that enables the company to produce 20-inch-wide printing of any length, once again setting itself apart in the marketplace. The 39 ft/minute, 1200×3600 dpi with 4 bit variable dot density press has an imaging width of 504 mm (19.8 inches) and can handle monthly duty cycles of up to 5 million pages. It can produce a range of applications such as brochures, posters, leaflets, catalogs, packaging and direct mail on a variety of substrates from 40gsm to 350gsm.

It delivers a combination of productivity and quality benefits that include high productivity in One-Pass-Duplex web fed printing, professional image and data integrity, refined screening library, perfect color consistency and professional color management. Also the QA-P Dry toner allows the use of substrates without specific pre-treatment, there are no VOC emissions and a wider color gamut is possible. “Over the years, Tasveer Digital Press has continued to invest in state-of-the-art technology to enhance and further develop the business,” says Naik. “Today, we are proud to be a complete printing solution provider and the Xeikon 8500 Digital Press is an important part of that evolution, significantly expanding the range of quality applications we can produce.”

Naik concludes, “We service customers from around the world with varying imaging needs. Because of our small beginnings, we have been able to incorporate our attention to detail and premium customer service to all of our customers. Our commitment to our clients is to continue offering the best quality available with the best customer service possible. Our partnership with Xeikon and the Xeikon 8500 Digital Press take us another giant step down that path.”
