Recent installations of Ricoh in UP West

Digital printer manufacturer Ricoh India is spreading its footprints across the country. Here, we bring information on four Ricoh installations made in UP West in past one year. Uttar Pradesh is not just the most populous state in the country (accounting for 16.4 per cent of the country’s population), but it is also one of the leading economies in India. The state has witnessed rapid industrialization in the recent past, particularly after the launch of policies of economic liberalization in the country. It is home to many industries and printing is no exception. The digital wave has also caught up with the state and there are many service providers offering top class digitalprinting services.

Here, we met four digital printing set-ups in four different cities in West UP to know more about the services they offer. Interestingly, these service providers are using Ricoh printers to successfully meet the demands of their customers.

Hi Poly Prints, Gorakhpur

The company installed Ricoh C7100X colour production printer in December 2015 and since then, they are churning out good quality digital prints at low costs. According to Shirish Agarwal of Hi Poly Prints, their clients are extremely satisfied with printing solutions, offered at affordable prices and consistent quality.

Ricoh C7100X is a five-colour printing machine, which can produce up to 90 colour pages per minute with faster transitions between jobs. The 5th colour station can be used to offer more types of output at a lower price point. “It can create images with up to 1200 x 4800 dpi resolution and can print on a variety of media, including traditional paper products, synthetics, envelopes, textures and more,” added Shirish.

The printing set-up is backed by six adept professionals, who know the nitty-gritty of the requisites of their end consumers. Talking about the kind of customers they get, Shirish added that they get jobs from printers who do not have this facility, besides getting some walk-in customers.

Plaza Digital Colour Lab, Firozabad

As the name suggest, Plaza Digital Color Lab caters to the photographic market. “In the marriage season, we have to increase the working hours to meet the variegated orders of the clients on time. During such times, the number of photo albums orders reach up to 10-12 per day, accounting to more than 250 albums in a month,” shared Mukesh Singh of Plaza Digital Colour Lab.

Their facility is equipped with Ricoh Pro C5100, which was installed a year back. “Since then, the machine has been delivering best in class album and photo prints, making us one of the best photo and album service provider in Firozabad,” added Mukesh. Ricoh Pro C5100 can run up to 65 pages per minute in B/W and colour to deliver high productivity in low volume runs, helping meet tight delivery schedules. “It supports accurate registration on heavy and coated media and up to SRA3 paper size – enabling increase in productivity,” he added.

In this competitive market, Mukesh is happy to have lot of walk-in customers, who have different requirements. Backed by a team of 8 people, Plaza Digital Colour Lab is efficiently catering to the local market.

Apna Photo Sales, Jhansi

Being a photographer for 30 years, it was a natural progression for Rajesh Nigam to offer digital photo albums because only a good photographer can comprehend the essence of images. For this, he has installed a Ricoh Pro C5100s colour production system in April this year. “On an average, we produce 10-15 photo albums per day during the marriage season,” he shared.

Ricoh PRO C5110S is a light production printer that offers high colour production values at affordable cost. It employs innovative technologies, which are used in Ricoh’s high-end printers, to help reduce operation costs and boost performance. “High image quality ensures professional results that are best in class and it also offers impressive broad paper handling including heavy and coated media,” he added.

On asking about their USP, Rajesh replied that he makes sure to use a consistent quality of paper, to ensure optimum quality. Currently, he has a staff of eight people, who are diligently working to meet the orders on time.

Amit Colour Lab, Kanpur

Another colour lab in UP West using Ricoh Pro C5110S is Amit Colour Lab in Kanpur. According to Amit Rajput of Amit Colour Lab, they are satisfied with the performance of the machine as it lets them cater to variegated demands of the customers, without compromising with the quality of the images. Besides, the printer is very energy-effective, he adds. With its smaller footprint, the PRO C5110S needs limited installation space, making it easier to fit into a workspace whilst offering the versatility and performance of larger and more expensive printers.
