Prof B Kumar promoted as HOD, Deptt of Printing Technology

Prof B Kumar, PhD has been promoted as Head of Department, Department of Printing Technology, College of Engineering, Guindy. Dr B Kumar began his career as a printing technologist in the year 1980 after his Diploma in Printing Technology, with Metal Box India, Bombay as Management Trainee till 1984. Then he joined the Department of Printing Technology, Anna University, Tamil Nadu as a Staff when the B.E. Degree Programme in Printing Technology was introduced for the first time ever in the whole of South East Asia. He obtained his B.E. in Printing Engineering, from Pune University, in1995, and MS (By Research) in 2001 and obtained his Ph.D. for his work for ‘Devising a Test Procedure to Quantify Smash Recovering ability of Offset Rubber Blankets at different Torques,’ under the guidance of Prof Lalitha Jayaraman, and with the help of Mr K Balaji, MD, Mr K Krishnan and Mr R P Lakshmivenkatraman of ‘The Hindu’, in the year 2007.
