Recently TIME revealed the TIME 100, the magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world, appearing in the first ever perfect-bound edition.

The TIME 100 includes 54 international figures from 37 countries, more than any previous TIME 100, and this is the first time that there are more international names on the list than Americans. The list features often-surprising pairings of the influentials and the guest contributors TIME selects to write about them. The ninth-annual list includes: JackieChan on Chen Lihua, Arne Duncan on Jeremy Lin, Gloria Steinem on Ai-JenPoo, president Barack Obama on Warren Buffett, Michael Elliott on Xi Jinping, Angelina Jolie on Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Jeremy Lin on Tim Tebow, ThantMyint-U on U Thein Sein, Suketu Mehta on Anjali Gopalan and many more. There are 38 women on the 2012 TIME 100, more than ever before. The list is divided into five categories: moguls, breakouts, icons, pioneers and leaders.
