SPMCIL bags performance excellence award

In a recently concluded 16th CEOs Conference on the theme “India 2025: Industrial Perspective” organised at Udaipur by Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, Navi Mumbai conferred the prestigious Performance Excellence Award 2011 to Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) – a Public Sector Enterprise. The award was received by Dr Manoranjan Dash, director (HR) of the company. Dr Dash made a presentation during the conference highlighting the success story of SPMCIL as a public enterprise after the decision was taken by the Govt. to corporatise the mints, presses and paper mill in the year 2006 which were Govt. departments under the control of C&C division of Department of Economic Affairs. The focus in his presentation was that the objective of corporatisation has since been achieved to many extents by SPMCIL within a short span of time.
