To be organised by the Indian Printing, Packaging and Machinery Manufactures’ Association (IPAMA) during February 23-28 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Printpack India 2013 will be actualising of the best ever exhibition concepts in the country. Updating about the latest developments towards setting the stage of the show, CP Paul, general secretary, IPAMA, in conversation with SK Khurana, editor, Print & Publishing, enumerated the features, facilities and other initiatives that certainly will make this six-day event India’s top of the line show.

By only presenting technologies on showcase does necessarily not fulfill the expectations of exhibitors and visitors, resulting optimum outputs for the money and time spent on, rather it needs much more. Printpack India 2013 is going to be a show offering all that which makes them ‘feel good’ entirely.

It is generally observed in most of the Indian trade shows organizers wish to cover gross area up to maximum ratio. “But that is not going to happen in case of Printpack India 2013, which shall be complying with international standard in this regard, it means covered area (net area) shall be to the tune of 52 percent of the gross area, allowing four metre wide passages all over,” CP Paul mentioned proudly. “The appropriate layout of the show ensures smooth navigation for the visitors. Keeping it in mind, we have derived a well planned layout, giving visitors comfort to visit the show without possibility of missing any exhibitor’s stand.”

“Our efforts shall be to live up to all expectations of exhibitors and visitors as from an international standard exhibition, including the catering services. On this line, there would be well managed catering arrangements, offering economic pricing of just Rs 60 to executive Rs 500 per meal with eight types of options to choose from. For media, VIPs and administration personnel, there would be a special interest pavilion,” he said.

“Investing significant amount, we have created a dedicated portal for Printpack India 2013 (printpackindia2013.com), having space for 2,000 pages and 24/7 online chatting facility. Actively established for pre-business activities, this portal makes it easier for visitors as well as exhibitors to get to know everything about the products to be displayed at the show. Companies can also book their stalls online and get more publicity by showcasing their products on the Printpack India website. And, a toll free telephone number (1800-11-3555) is available for all to answer any type of queries,” conveyed Paul.

“For the first time ever, entry to Printpack India shall be by entry tickets, which has been conceived to attract genuine and serious visitors for the overall benefits of exhibitors. Visitors will be able to book entry tickets online easily, availing lots of benefits. While entry for online registered visitors shall be free, but those who get registered on the spot will have to purchase an entry ticket for Rs 300/- for one day, Rs 500/- for three days, and Rs 1,000 for all six days. For visitors registered online in advance as well as exhibitors, several other facilities shall be available, including free Metro Card, free Volvo bus service from Noida City Centre Metro station to the venue on every five minutes service, Business Visitors Guide (BVG), drinking water bottle, visitor flyer with floor layout, and shopping discounts in neighboring malls. We are also talking to 20 nearby hotels/ restaurants to manage a collective dining area on payment basis, along with arrangement of entertainment,” Paul informed further. Speaking about advantages of shifting the venue of the exhibition, Paul mentioned, “There are lot of advantages of the new venue which is all clean and air conditioned, and also hygienically excellent. Additional display area under two hangers is being set up for web press manufacturers. For ensuring security, there is an efficient control room, having whole area covered under CCTV surveillance, being offered by India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML). Touch screen kiosks would be stet-up and all area shall be covered by WiFi.”

“In the previous 2011 edition of the show 396 exhibitors participated, but this time we expect greater number with exhibiting area going beyond 15,000 sq m area. Though, initially we had planned 12,000 sq m area, of which around 80 percent has already been booked. In order to promote the show, our officials are visiting all major international and regional print exhibitions, apart from promotion through mass mailings. A presentation on Printpack India 2013 was made in drupa 2012 during India Day. Printing Associations in China, Italy, South Korea have been authorized to book stalls for Printpack India under the sales promotion activities. Collective participation by China is already confirmed. We are also promoting the show through popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, etc,” updated Paul.

While concluding, Paul did not forget to mention that the members of IPAMA shall be benefitted largely by availing special discount packages in participation fee which ranges between 05 – 15 percent.
