United Art Fair unveils impressive art works
The first ever venture to bring art into the open and make it accessible to general public, United Art Fair (UAF) 2012 recently showcased 2500 works of art in different mediums by over 600 artists from all over India. Divided into six prominent sections, theme of UAF’s section was ‘mirror’ where more than 500 young and emerging talents from the Indian contemporary art featured their impressive works. Other sections which drew main attractions during the fair included, Mind the Gap Now, Photography, Printmaking, Masters’ Corner and Raja Deen Dayal.
Conceived by Annurag Sharma, managing director, United Art Logistics Private Limited, UAF has been directed the noted curator and art critic Johny ML assisted by young curator Yanam Takam. Others in the league as guest curators include Dr Deepak John Mathew (Photography), Rajan Fulari (Printmaking) and Priya Singhal (Raja Deen Dayal). Annurag said, “I have been working with my team relentlessly for the last one year and I am so happy that I could showcase the variety of Indian contemporary art.”
