Institute of Printing Technology starts new academic year with QC equipments

PK Ponnappa, new principal, taking charge from the academic year, arranged a brief ceremonial function to informally inaugurate the two primary equipments, a ‘gsm’ tester and ‘bursting strength’ indicator already in use for some time. The equipments costing about Rs 75,000 were donated through AIFMP funds by the MPLA. Society of Printing Engineers inaugurates its activities

The activities of Society of Printing Engineers (SPE) at Anna University were inaugurated on 6th September. In his address while inaugurating the activities, Ayaz A Kagzi, general manager, packaging development, CarinKare underlined the importance of a ‘dreams, expectations, goals’ concept for students, which would help them to form an idea what they want to be, and attain the set goals meaningfully. He also gave an idea to the students about innovations in packaging. Dr M Sekar, dean, College of Engineering, Anna University, presided over the function. T Saeavanan, secretary, also shared his views. SPE arranges periodical seminars calling the experts in various areas, including technical skills, management techniques and personality development. The activities will culminate IMPRINT in February in the coming year when delegates from Printing Engineering Courses from all over India take part in paper presentation, quiz, on the spot competitions and related areas with active support from the faculty.
