Now, the company is all set to present some more innovations at the Printpack India 2011 in New Delhi for further strengthening their prestigiousness. “In the very beginning, we were focusing on prepress products but now right technology is also being offered by us in postpress segment that is part of our diversified operation strategy,” stated Balkrishan Khindria, mentor behind Memory Repro in conversation with SK Khurana, editor-Print & Publishing.

Young, energetic trio team under the guidance of experienced, visionary triad are striving for achieving new milestones.Established in the year 1968 for developing electrical appliances for households and ventured into graphic arts segment in 1974, Memory Repro Systems (P) Ltd has been serving the print industry with economical pre-press and post-press equipments for both web and sheetfed machines. Strategically focusing on manufacturing of those products which are very integral part of printing and finishing process and printers need to install them to make their operation smooth, Memory Repro has revolutionized the print industry offering this sort of products for prepress and postpress segments at affordable prices. Their success can be observed with this fact that there is rarely any printer in India who may not be having one or more Memory’s products.

“So far we have installed over 85,000 machines for different segments in domestic and overseas markets. During last five years, we succeeded to maintain average growth rate of 25 percent despite global meltdown since 2007. Presently, ninety percent of our products sales is in domestic market, while ten percent products are being exported; however, earlier this ratio was 75:25 respectively,” divulged Balkrishan who looks after finance and overall activities of the company. While other team members who are responsible for making the company rising are Chaddha for designing along with Gaurav; Sanjeev, marketing; Aman, products development; Gopal, administration and logistics.

“With decades of combined experience in pre-press and post-press equipments and consumable manufacturing under the MEMORY brand, we offer top quality through our products and our domestic as well as overseas valued customers recognize our endeavours, constantly relying on us. Being a market focused company, we perfectly understand the evolving needs of customers and our efforts to meet the future requirements have consequently made us the leaders of tomorrow,” said Balkrishan. Their product portfolio includes printing down frame, plate processor for CtP & CtcP, plate curing equipment, video plate punch & bender, range of plate punch & bender in prepress segment, while semi automatic case making machines, pneumatic bundling & strapping machines, semi-automatic thermal lamination machines and board knurling machines in postpress.

Recently expanded state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Mundka.Talking about their plans for Printpack India 2011, Balkrishan mentioned, “Apart from demonstrating our existing line of products, we will be presenting some new products at the show, including Casing-In machine and lamination machine of 24’’ standard. The upgraded version of the paper knurling machines would also be showcased, which will go hydraulic from manual. Besides, we shall be introducing board grooving machine, gluer/folding for packaging, envelop making, and automatic platen die punching & embossing machine.”

“Apart from participating in the domestic exhibitions, we also go to overseas events to explore international market. At the previous drupa show in the year 2008, we launched our newest innovation – Vision plate punch & bender and became the eighth manufacturer of this machine in the world and the only one from India. This machine is ideal for single and double width offset printing plates, video-controlled positioning of printing plates, register punching and bending in one working cycle, and pneumatic controlled four side plate alignments. We shall also be participating in drupa 2012 with bigger portfolio,” he informed.

“To keep pace with the rapid changes in the industry, we have significantly invested in making a sate-of-the-art manufacturing facility spread over 30,000 sq ft area at Mundka industrial area in New Delhi backed by efficient manpower in all sections, be it tool room, fabrication, or assembly. Our R&D unit is fully dedicated to enhance product design as well as quality, shorten product development period, and assist the core technical group in terms of customization. Equipped with SolidWork software, our designing unit also ensures production in standard as well as customized specifications,” said Balkrishan. ISO 9001:2008 certified company Memory Repro has almost nil spare parts outsourcing. “To ensure quality of our products, we make all parts at our own facility.”

The company also has their branch offices in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Hyderabad. Overseas markets are being covered through dealer network such as in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. “Though, our machines are made so precisely that they hardly require any after sales service, we have ten in-house trained engineers to better serve our customers,” he mentioned. “Everyone seeks such products that can provide value for money ensuring smooth and fast production, longer service life and minimum downtime along with energy efficiency and ease of application.
