RICOH boosts facilities of two digital majors in Dwarka and Gurgaon

Geographical proximity of Dwarka in New Delhi and Gurgaon in NCR offers a common market where commercial digital printers enjoy independent business advantages available in these two adjoining border regions. Print & Publishing recently interacted with two digital printing majors whose production setups have been boosted to more than ordinary ways following the adoptions of RICOH Pro series digital presses. Putting up in an area of 3,000 sq ft at Palam Extension in Dwarka, MSK Business Centre is considered as one of the biggest commercial digital printing shops in the area. This corner boasts of its customers pouring in from different walks of life to get their jobs done in diverse manners. “Most of our customers are just walk-in types. They could be professionals, students, small print shops, photographers and others,” said Dheeraj Sharma, proprietor, MSK Business Centre. He further mentioned that the profiles of the company’s clientele comprise a number of architecture and engineering students since arrays of technical institutes are now established in Dwarka and Gurgaon. And Discovery Channel is one of the clients which MSK Business Centre has been associated with for years.

Progression story

(L-R) Dheeraj Sharma, Mukul Gupta and Anjana SahaAround 11 years ago, MSK Business Centre was established as an ordinary digital printing shop where equipped merely a B&W Xerox 105 machine, a laminator and of course, a computer. “After seeing the growth in the region’s digital printing market, we were influenced to expand our infrastructure,” asserted Dheeraj mentioning particularly the recently installed RICOH Pro C901 fullcolour digital press, designed for extremely high-quality image outputs.

“RICOH Pro C901 is capable to print at rated speed of 90 A4 size colour pages per minute in duplex mode, accepting media upto 13×19.2 inch with maximum weight of 300 gsm,” explained Avijit Mukherjee, chief operating officer, Production Printing – SBU, RICOH India Limited. This versatile RICOH machine at MSK Business is quite proficient to deliver first-rate presentation materials as well as commercial applications.

One-stop shop

A strong team of 25 professionals are behind the outstanding activities of MSK Business Centre which delivers all varieties of printing, scanning, lamination, designing and other related jobs. In addition to the high-end RICOH Pro C901 are other machineries including Epson PRO 11880, HP Designjet 500PS and others in the portfolio. Dheeraj added that MSK Business Centre always in hunt for newer technologies which can boost the company’s competence in outputs.

Anand Photostat, Gurgaon

A couple of Canon NP 270 B/W photocopiers were what Anand Photostat had in the first place when the company unveiled in the year 1996. Then the timely updates in their infrastructure have brought in newer range of machineries which include the recently adopted RICOH Pro C751EX. “We had also invested in Xerox colour machine, Konica bizhub 650 and others, but this newly purchased RICOH Pro C751EX press is something which we really appreciate for its image quality, flexibility and capability,” said Nitin Sethi of Anand Photostat. A brainchild of SP Sethi, success of Anand Photostat is also largely accredited to his two sons, Nitin Sethi and Pwan Sethi, who joined the family business just a few years ago.

Products and services

Customers of Anand Photostat are predominantly of all leading schools in Gurgaon and Dwarka. “We have been in close association with 29 schools including some big names like Blue Bells Public School (Gurgaon) across the region. For them, we deliver report cards, question papers, leaflets and other related documents,” said Pawan adding that the walk-in customers and some corporate clients from Gurgaon, Dwarka and other adjoining areas under three-kilometer radius always make a buzz around the company’s reception counter.

Sturdy infrastructure

Installation of RICOH Pro C751 EX has enhanced Anand Photostat’s infrastructure which is inviting to its customers for being a complete solution centre with all possible activities of binding, lamination, paper cutting, plotter, etc. “This RICOH Pro machine is indeed a real production machine. Since the day we adopted this machine, all precision problems we frequently faced earlier have been solved,” remarked Nitin adding that this machine brings satisfactions to everyone including OEMs, employees and customers.

Anjana Saha, marketing manager, production printing business group, Ricoh India Limited mentioned RICOH Pro C751 EX is capable to deliver offset-quality prints as this next-generation digital press delivers new standards in productivity and reliability. She added that VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface- Emitting Laser) technology of the machine delivers laser sharp resolution of 4800 dpi. Tending to capture the region in an exclusive way, Anand Photostat in the next two years will expand its footprints in other pockets of Gurgaon with branches.
