Major suppliers to the industry confirm participation

A variety of ‘quick learning’ sessions planned for visitors to the event

The second largest expo in the world for trends and practices in newspaper printing and publishing, to be held this year during September 11-13 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore, WAN-IFRA India Expo 2013 has attracted leading suppliers to the industry to showcase their technologies and solutions at the show. Companies such as ABB, Atex, CCI Europe, Ferag, Goss, Kohli Graphics, Manroland, Manugraph, Mitsubishi, Newstech, PPI Media, red.web, Tolerans, QI Press Controls, Quadtech and more than fifty other exhibitors have confirmed their participation so far.

Every day a variety of side events are being planned as part of the expo and the visitors to the event will have the opportunity to attend ‘Quick learning sessions’ for free on topics such as 3D printing, digital storytelling and publishing on tablet devices. These sessions will be held in the dedicated ‘Media Port.’ WAN-IFRA’s twenty-first annual conference in India merged this year with the Asian conference ‘Publish Asia’ and the Asian Media Awards Gala will be held alongside. The conference will have three parallel tracks – Printing Summit for production and technology executives, Newsroom Summit for editors, and Crossmedia Advertising Summit for advertisement and business executives.

The conference, which over the years has established as the annual meeting point of the South Asian news publishers, expects to attract more than 600 delegates and the expo expects to attract over 1,500 visitors. “WAN-IFRA India Expo 2013 comes at a time when the industry is looking for innovative solutions to augment growth. Suppliers and publishers can expect to benefit from mutual interactions. Bangalore as the city provides the ambience necessary for such interactions and new learning.
