AIFMP celebrates diamond jubilee in Chennai

Established in 1953, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) – the apex body serving the Indian Printing Industry – with 60 regional affiliate associations spread all over the country having 1.5 lakh printers, recently celebrated their diamond jubilee.

The celebrations began with curtain raiser held at Bangalore, with the theme – “Adding Colour to Life”. The Grand Finale of Diamond Jubilee celebration was organised at Chennai, graced by the presence of Governor of Tamil Nadu, K Rosaiah, who presented the awards to the stalwarts of the printing industry.

Initiating the programme, Govind Bhargava, president, AIFMP, gave brief information about AIFMP and its flagship projects to the august gathering. In his address to the house, the Governor thanked the AIFMP for the various projects undertaken for the welfare of the printing fraternity.

AIFMP honoured the stalwarts who have contributed to the Indian print industry. The various categories included Lifetime Achievement award, Jewel of AIFMP, Ratna and Diamond awards among others. The event also honoured the stalwarts of the industry under categories such as Young Entrepreneur, NAEP Star award, Printing Industry Stalwart and Young Woman Entrepreneur title.

KS Venkataraman of Chennai-based Newman Press was awarded with “Lifetime achievement award” while KL Shroff of Nutech Packaging was awarded with AIFMP Ratna Award and Prof Dr Rajendra Kumar Anayath, with AIFMP Samman Award. As customery, all past presidents of AIFMP were honoured for their yeoman service to the printing industry.
