Market leaders consider this partnership as a newer milestone in the region’s printing and packaging industry.

“We are happy to associate with Expo Centre Sharjah as a co-organiser of PRINT PACK ARABIA. IPAMA is dedicated to disseminating information on the state-of-manufacturing-technology, market perspectives and various developments taking place around the world, besides holding PRINTPACK INDIA,” said KS Khurana. He further conveyed, “Through PRINT PACK ARABIA, we will be able to replicate the success achieved in India and share our decades of experience and expertise.”

First time ever

CP Paul, general secretary, IPAMA asserted that this is the first time in the history of IPAMA for an overseas business tie-up. “And it is bound to provide opportunities for our members and promoting ‘Brand India’ image apart from exploring possibilities of entering into joint ventures and business collaborations,” he added. For this, while announcing the tie-up, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa asserted, “We have joined hands with the leaders in this field – IPAMA, which organises PRINT PACK INDIA, the fourth largest exhibition-of-its-kind in the world and the biggest in India.”

Spotlight on Sharjah

The printing and packaging industry of Sharjah is now projecting to attain US$ 7 billion by the year 2015. And 80 percent of the UAE’s printing and packaging industry is based in Sharjah and Ajman. As the UAE has emerged as pivotal hub for the paper and printing industry in the Arab World, this will be a new window for Indian manufacturers to explore fresh business in the Gulf region, particularly around Sharjah. Exhibitors from India will also be offered discounted rates in participation, air fare, accommodation, visa, etc.

In India

For the Indian market, IPAMA organises bi-annual PRINTPACK INDIA, which is one of the mega shows of the industry in South East Asia. The 11th edition of the show staged in February 2013 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida (NCR Delhi) received a remarkable achievement. More than 60,000 visitors had thronged the mega expo. IPAMA is now set to formally announce the exhibition dates for the year 2015.
