PrintExpo, Chennai – major showcase

The 6th edition of PrintExpo 2014 was held at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. More than 175 exhibitors representing over 200 companies from across nine countries showcased the entire print, photo, imaging and sign media technologies. Some of the highlights of the exhibition included the following:

Canon launched its IPR 8401 (IPR 6011 updated). Also to be seen were imageRUNNER 8295 Monochrome and wide format Mono Oce PW 340. Printshop 3D Suite was also showcased. Their inkjet 7-colour DreamLabo 5000 for printing album in 12” x 25” duplex was novelty which they have installed in GKV Lab in Bengaluru.

Monotech showcased eight machines, including the debut Konica Minolta bizhubPRESS 8000, Monochrome 1052 and C70HC. They also showcased their own UV flatbed, besides Oce PlotWave Monochrome and image PROGRAF 605 5-colour and Amsky UV CtCP. Their latest collaboration with Contex with its large format ScanStation was also announced.

Reprographic System & Supplies, well established in Chennai, were present showing their array of solutions with KJ Paul attending the visitors as enthusiastic as ever.

Ricoh replicated their different zones concept like of Pamex 2013, but in a mini format. There were continuous presentations explaining the multiple print possibilities with their various machines portfolio to choose from.

Xerox, a regular at PrintExpo showcased their Color J75, C75, 560/570 printer, wide format 6705 system, wide format IJP 2000 and Phaser 7800 system.
