Fun at OPA Carnival in ludhiana

Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) recently organized annual Carnival in remembrance of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of printing. AK Sinha, director printing, Government of India was the chief guest and SS Dhillon, director MSME DI, Ludhiana and Mahesh Khanna, GM DIC, Ludhiana were the guests of honour. While, BS Nagi, asstt. director MSME DI, Ludhiana and Rakesh Pathak, CDE Printing and Packaging Cluster were also present on the occasion.

This year besides the families of OPA members, printer families from Moga, Amritsar, Ambala, Jalandhar, Jagraon, Jammu, Pathankot, Muktsar, etc. also participated in the OPA carnival.

Besides fun games, cheques worth Rs 13 lakh were distributed by SS Dhillon and Mahesh Khanna to the delegates who visited Pack Print International at Bangkok, and China Print at Beijing. This grant in aid was received from the Government of Thailand and Ministry of MSME, Govt of India.

It is worth mentioning here that under the soft intervention of Printing and Packaging Cluster at Ludhiana, 27 delegates visited Bangkok in the month of August and under the International Cooperation scheme of the Ministry of MSME, GOI, 32 delegates of OPA visited China Print 2013 at Beijing during May last year.
