ARS Graphics installs Kodak Nexpress, expands digital printing capabilities

Formal inauguration of the digital production workhorseKodak has recently installed Kodak Nexpress digital production colour press at ARS Graphics, Delhi. Lois Lebegue, managing director – Asia Pacific Region, Kodak, inaugurated the digital production workhorse at ARS Graphics’ premises. Also present were Bhalchandra Nikumb, managing director – India Cluster, Kodak and the Kodak sales and service team who have worked towards successful installation of the Nexpress. ARS Graphics, a CtP service bureau, had installed the first Kodak VLF CtP Platesetter in India. A Kodak plates customer since 2010, ARS Graphics is churning about 1500 sq m of plates every month. Focused on customer needs, Sunil Chauhan, director, ARS Graphics, has built a competitive advantage with differentiated services.

On the installation, Sunil Chauhan adds, “The Nexpress gives extremely accurate frontback registration and consistent colour reproduction. Also, the speed of DFE in processing files reduces the overall time taken to process a job, giving us the opportunity to take on higher volumes. Our long-standing relationship with Kodak, and their consistent sales and service support were equally important deciding factors for our investment in the Nexpress.” Currently printing 50,000 visiting cards per day on the Kodak Nexpress, ARS Graphics expects to boost the volume of visiting cards printed to over 3,00,000 per day.

While, Ramani Viswanathan, vice president – sales – Digital Printing Solutions at Kodak quoted, “The Kodak Nexpress provides versatility, photographic image quality, and benchmark productivity for high-value print applications, while mixing easily into a full-service printing environment.”

As a perfect live example, a job of 5,300 visiting cards with Dimensional Ink was produced during a thirty minute time frame at the inauguration ceremony – a testament of the productivity and capability of the Kodak Nexpress.
