Müller Martini to take over services for Heidelberg

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) and Muller Martini have reached an agreement on the transfer of Heidelberg’s service business for saddle stitchers and perfect binders. Muller Martini will take over the worldwide service and spare parts business and the complete knowhow of the machines produced in Leipzig by the end of 2014.

As part of its strategic realignment, Heidelberg has decided to close its facility in Leipzig and to withdraw from the saddle stitcher and perfect binder business. The transfer of services to Müller Martini is an optimal solution for Heidelberg customers since print finishing is Müller Martini’s core business and the company boasts a global service network with strong spare parts and support readiness geared to that segment. “We will do everything we can to transfer the know-how efficiently to our organisation because we want to provide Heidelberg customers with reliable service support smoothly and seamlessly,” shared Bruno Müller, CEO of Muller Martini.
