HP launches learning academy in Singapore

Digital printing machinery manufacturer HP Inc has unveiled a new multimillion-dollar Graphics Solutions Service (GSS) Learning Academy dedicated to providing enhanced professional development and training to accelerate the digital transformation of the printing industry across Asia Pacific and Japan.

The HP Graphics Solutions Service Learning Academy will provide a highly effective learning experience for over 1000 customers, production managers, engineers and operators from across the region, over the next 12 months.

Pee Beng Kong, director of electronics, Singapore Economic Development Board said, “We are pleased that HP has chosen Singapore to set up its Learning Academy. The Learning Academy will help to upskill and equip our workforce with capabilities in digital printing.”

The HP Graphics Solutions Service Learning Academy will develop production managers, operators, service engineers and application engineers through a blended learning model. The curriculum of over 50 courses includes on-site hands-on-training, self-paced modular eLearning, instructor-led webinars and online assessment tools. Participants in the Academy will have the opportunity to attend general training courses that create a deeper awareness about the enormous potential of digital printing and how it can empower businesses to do more, as well as product training courses such as HP Indigo operator level 1, level 2 and color management.

The training facility includes the latest HP Indigo Digital Presses for hands-on training workshopsThe 1,700 square-metre training facility at the HP Graphics Solutions Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Tuas has been renovated and includes seven training classrooms, hands-on Digital Printing Press workshops, remote monitoring and diagnostic command centre, and a next-generation product and solution training room. The facility also showcases the latest printing solutions including HP Indigo Digital Presses, HP Sign & Display Presses and HP DesignJet Printers.
