Marking strong impact of Omet technology

In the 2011 ‘With us, at Omet’ open house in Lecco, Italy, (March 09-11), over 100 prominent attendees witnessed running machines and judged the quality, a sign of tradition in Omet. The printed jobs were of interesting impact, marking the simplicity of operation and ease. The event, part of a fortunate series of happenings under the theme ‘With us, at Omet’ – whose tradition started with the spring open house in 2010 – has again underlined the strong relationship of the Italian printing presses manufacturer with label and packaging converters, in Italy and worldwide. Both existing and potential customers, who flew from Europe and the rest of the world (more than 60 companies) to join a large group of Italian converters on the occasion, particularly appreciated the demonstrations on 430 VaryFlex combination press including offset groups.

The Omet Offset group is a compendium of technology, printing precision and robustness for the printing of added-value labels. Being the VaryFlex a true combination press, capable of harmonising in line different printing solutions like rotogravure, flexo, silk-screen, foiling, converting and, of course, offset, this press undoubtedly played the leading role in the open house.

A 430 X-Flex, the benchmark of label presses since its debut in 2007, was not less which was also included in the event. As a completion of the tour, customers could view a 530 VaryFlex machine with a mix of printing technologies – specifically rotogravure and flexo – for the printing of flexible packaging film.
