SGI Middle East 2012

International Expo-Consults (IEC) has set the dates and named a new venue for the 15th edition of the Sign & Graphic Imaging (SGI) Middle East expo. The 2012 edition will take place during Jan 31-Feb 02 at the Sheikh Saeed Halls 1, 2, and 3 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. “We had a phenomenal response to SGI 2011, with 296 companies exhibiting at Dubai Airport Expo. That represented a 13 percent increase on 2010 figures. We forecast even further growth in 2012 so a larger venue is now required, especially as this is a show that attracts large pieces of equipment, many of it operating throughout the show,” said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman of IEC, adding, “We are expecting more than 8,000 visitors to attend SGI 2012. This year’s show had a strong turnout from across the GCC as well as East Africa, the Sub Continent, Europe and Asia.”

The show attracts the biggest names in the industry, with global brands such as Epson, Hewlett Packard, AGFA and EFI participating each year. Regional print industry leaders such as Digimatrix, Gandy Digital, GSS, Giffin Graphics, Flex Europa and Colorbyte all attended the 2011 edition.
