Second Leg of Print Yatra 2018 to cover 650 km

Print Yatra is a mission to educate the printers about the latest developments and unique techniques for the growth in printing and packaging industry. The second leg of Print Yatra 2018 was recently flagged off from Ludhiana to visit places llike Nawan Shahar, Hoshiarpur, Dharamshala, Palampur, Kangra, Una, Nangal, Garhshankar, Banga etc.

Describing the motive behind the Print Yatra, Prof. Kamal Chopra said, it is mission for the complete networking for the 250,000 printers of India. “While visiting various cities we are generating awareness about this trade, persuading the printers to form associations. During these visits, we try to make the printers aware about the various schemes launched by the Government of India, Ministry of MSME for the overall benefit of trade and industry,” he said.

During first leg (26 & 27 May) this year, it was possible to create new associations viz. Jalalabad Offset Printers’ Association; Faridkot Offset Printers Association; Bathinda Printers Association and Malerkotla Offset Printers Association. Everywhere printers welcomed this novel idea of Offset Printers’ Association and assured their complete support for the ‘Print Yatra.’

“During this phase of Print Yatra 2018,we are planning to visit eastern Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also besides visiting entire Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh,” Prof. Chopra added. Sharing his views about Print Yatra, Gagandeep Singh said, “We are getting overwhelming response wherever we are visiting.”
