New printers from Epson with enhanced speed

Epson has recently launched its latest professional photographic printers – the Epson Stylus Pro 7890 (24-inch wide) and Epson Stylus Pro 9890 (44-inch wide) large format printers, which incorporate the precision of Epson’s proprietary Micro Piezo Thin Film Piezo (TFP) print head and the eight-colour Epson UltraChrome K3 ink with Vivid Magenta to achieve class-leading print quality and speed.

The new systems are set to boost performance with excellent print speed that is approximately twice as fast as their predecessor models (the Epson Stylus Pro 7880 / 9880). In addition, the new printers feature auto-switching of photo black and matte black ink depending on the media selected, which helps to save time and reduce ink and media wastage. “The Epson Stylus Pro 7890 and 9890 offer photo enthusiasts and proofing industries outstanding performance in speed and quality which rival high-end competing large format printers with the great affordability they provide,” commented Samba Moorthy, division head – sales & marketing.
