– adds a ROLAND 700 double coater to their existing fleet

To cater their high volume requirements in folding cartons, one of India’s largest folding carton printers, Borkar Packaging recently added a double coater press to their existing fleet of high performance manroland presses. The seven-colour double coater press has been installed at Borkar’s Goa facility.

For high speed coating and value added effects, the ROLAND 707 LTTLV at Borkar Packaging features an extended delivery and two coating as well as drying modules, and is capable of printing a wide variety of coating and special effect applications. The dual coating modules can produce superior matt gloss effects, double UV coating and pigmented coatings. A highly cost effective feature of the press is its ability to create UV gloss effects using conventional inks, by using a combination of Primer and UV coatings. ROLAND 700 double coater presses are capable of inline finishing tasks such as embossing, grooving, die cutting and a very unique effect called – InlineImpress, or UV embossable coating which creates one sided micro embossing effects, very popular in liquor and cigarette packaging.

“The ROLAND 707 LTTLV double coater press recently installed at Borkar Packaging is a high performance packaging press capable of producing a wide portfolio of value added special effects. We are proud to be associated with Borkar as their technology partner for the past 16 years. The latest addition to their existing fleet of manroland presses will help them significantly enhance their range of folded carton production facilities” said Anil Bhatia, managing director, manroland India.
