Romancing Print hosted for the first time in Ambala

Master Printers Association, Ambala and Offset Printers’ Association, Ludhiana jointly hosted this event at Siya Vatika, Staff Road, Opp. Phoenix Club, Football Chowk, Ambala Cantt. The event was supported by Heidelberg India Pvt Ltd and was powered by HP Indigo.

Participation: Approximate 325 printers from 32 cities across India participated in this full day seminar. In addition to this, presence of more than 110 students and teachers in printing added to the glory of this knowledge seminar hosted for the first time at Ambala.

The opening session…Welcoming the delegates, Sunil Chopra, President, Master Printers Association, Ambala said, “I am thrilled to see the presence of galaxy of printers from every corner of India. MPA is a very small association established with the efforts of Prof Kamal Chopra just 4 years back. We feel honoured and feel indebted to Maninder Singh, Vice President (North) AIFMP for reposing faith in our association and choosing Ambala as the venue of Romancing Print (North) 2018.”

Arvind Mardikar, Hon General Secretary, AIFMP in his address said, “The purpose of this seminar is to encourage the printers to ‘love their job’ so that they may work with more enthusiasm, with new vision and with more dedications.”

The seminar…In their presentation, Heidelberg’s representative said, though we are known as the best printing machinery manufacturers of the world, but Heidelberg is also known for Pre-Press; Post-Press equipment, Printers Chemicals, Consumables and system-services. “Not only this, we are taking good care in educating the printers and future printers,” he said.

Persuading the game changing digital technology, HP highlighted the various possibilities and wiles to earn more with digital printing. They also highlighted the B2 size machine and announced the first installation in Punjab. HP also displayed printed products at HP Gallery especially established for the knowledge of the printers, that how they can earn more with the digital print.

In his presentation, Dr Anjan Kumar Baral, Senior Professor of Printing at GJU, Hisar enlightened the printers about latest innovations and ‘Future Printing’ with a special emphasis on packaging printing.

Prof. (Dr) Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Vice Chancellor DC University of Science & Tech. Murthal, in his presentation elaborated how he romanced with print to reach such a high post. Highpoint of the proceedings of the day was the motivational lecture by world renowned motivation speaker, Asit Ghosh. He enthralled the audience with his words about education and knowledge. His main topic was how to live a happy life and be happy with your work. He said that the biggest teacher and your ultimate trainer is your life/experience. Education is important but knowledge can only be obtained with experience.

Earlier, inaugurating the Romancing Print (North) 2018, Padma Shree, Vijay Kumar Chopra, Chief Guest, said printers of the country are progressing without any support from the Government. “I wish that government may take care of this key industry which is the second largest industry giving employment of 25 lakh families directly and 20 lakh families indirectly,” he said.

Felicitations…The Printers associations of various cities were also felicitated for their participation in the seminar, which included associations from Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Printers from Pune (West), Chennai, Polachi, Hyderabad and Karur (South) New Delhi and Chandigarh were also felicitated.

Vote of thanks…In his vote of thanks, Prof. Kamal Chopra thanked the printers from more than 32 cities who joined the seminar on his simple call.
