HB Fuller has introduced two innovative, water-based adhesives for the paper packaging manufacturers of India. It’s Swifttak 5625 is a revolutionary solution designed for excellent water resistance performance on corrugated side seam applications. Swifttak 5625 covers multiple applications and improves production efficiencies. This non-corrosive, non-abrasive water-based adhesive enables Indian manufacturers to achieve FEFCO 9 standards, and it makes less impact on equipment, reducing machine downtime and spare parts costs. It also helps deliver a strong side seam bond for all corrugating boards with kraftliner, testliner or carton. Additionally, Swifttak 5625’s approval for direct food contact makes this innovative adhesive ideal for the manufacturing of paper straws, an important new consumer product driven by increasing demand for greener, more sustainable products.

While, Swifttak 5580 is HB Fuller’s OEM-approved, water-based, side seam adhesive for folding cartons. It provides premium performance on contactless nozzle systems. Its very high initial tack and minimal tailing at high speeds helps deliver rapid package integrity, and makes it ideal for high -speed application lines. Swifttak 5580 is suitable for a wide range of substrates used in the production of folding cartons.

The company has also launched Swifttherm 8048, an EVA-based hot melt developed and manufactured in India, ensuring it answers the unique challenges posed by the Indian climate. It provides excellent heat- and cold-resistant properties, high adhesive strength in both softcover and hardcover publications, proven performance on all machine speeds, and compatibility with a wide range of application methods, which make this product a versatile and effective adhesive for the Indian market.

Besides, Swifttherm Advantage 8000 is the next generation metallocene hot melt spine adhesive for softcover books and magazines. Designed by H.B. Fuller scientists in Blois, France, this innovative adhesive closes the performance gap between traditional EVA hot melts and PUR hot melt technologies. It offers odour-free application with excellent adhesion on high-quality paper stock. Having very low density, this adhesive can be used effectively in relatively low quantities. Binderies using traditional EVA hot melt adhesives can upgrade their binding performance without the need to invest in additional equipment, making it an economic solution for all perfect binding units.
