Mumbai based 39-year old company Shree Arun Packaging, one of the leading names in the Indian packaging sector with high capacity print production and post-press facilities, has added a high performance ROLAND 500 sheetfed press to their Navi Mumbai facility. The five colour press with inline coater will cater to the company’s growing folding carton business in the pharmaceutical and FMCG domain. With this latest installation, manroland further strengthens its market leadership in the Indian packaging sector.
The high capacity ROLAND 500 at Shree Arun Packaging is a five colour press, equipped with inline coating, extended delivery and a special size of 590 x 740 mm called OB Plus. This special format offers printers an extra 60 mm of printing area which doubles the productivity of the press in the same print run. The plate loading mechanism in the press is manroland’s patented Power Plate Loading (PPL) which is 3/4th automatic with no plate bending and no requirement of opening the guards for plate changing. This tool-less plate loading system is very convenient to use and reduces make ready time significantly with an effective plate change time of one minute per unit. Another significant feature in the press is the dedicated coating unit with ananilox coating cylinder which allows printers the convenience to switch easily between differential coating requirements.
