IGAS 2011 concludes successfully
Held during Sept 16- 21 in Tokyo under the theme of ‘Print your Future’, IGAS 2011 concluded successfully, attracting 73,554 visitors including 5,825 from overseas. As per Yoshiharu Komori, president, Japan Graphic Arts Suppliers Committee (organizers of the show), “However, due to impact of the East Japan Great Earthquake, the number of exhibitors decreased by 40 percent to 327 companies (overseas 32 companies), compared with the previous event in 2007. A large number of attendees enthusiastically and favourably took part in the special lectures, seminars, international forums and symposia. Also, there were a lot of visitors to “the East Japan Great Earthquake Press Photo Gallery.” On the occasion, the Global Print Tokyo Meeting (a confederation of printing machinery manufacturers’ associations in various countries in the world) was also held on the second day of IGAS 2011.
Japan Graphic Arts Suppliers Committee also announced the schedule for JGAS 2013 which will be organised during October 02-05, 2013 in Tokyo.
