Enabling printers to improve their efficiency with a small investment, Rado Packaging Machines Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Tarng Yun Co Ltd, has constantly been strengthening their installation base in India, concentrating on offering optical register punch/bending machines and anti-set-off powder extracting system. New Delhi-based AP India is yet another addition to their clientele, who recently installed TY-200PB optical register punch bending machine from Rado. “We are happy with the performance of Rado product and expecting to get return on the investment within 6-8 months,” conveyed Ashwani Chopra, director, AP India in a brief telecon with Ajeet Singh, asst editor, Print & Publishing.

Established in the year 1984, AP India is one of the fast emerging printers in northern India, under the astute guidance of Akhil and Ashwani Chopra brothers. With their facility at Okhla Industrial Area in New Delhi, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, the company provides various printing services to wide industry verticals, including: magazines, barcode stickers, price tickets, labels, annual reports, tags, stickers, catalogues, brochures, etc.

The installation of TY-200PB optical register punch bending machine has further strengthened their pre-press segment. “While performing manually, the register punch bending process takes around 40 minutes per job execution, but using TY-200PB machine, we can do it within five minutes with hundred percent accuracy. So this machine not only enables us to reduce make-ready time significantly, but ensures superb precision,” commented Ashwani. AP India generally uses around 100-200 CtP plates per day, which are produced in-house.

Designed to be used with all makes of sheetfed offset presses including Heidelberg, manroland, KBA, Mitsubishi, Komori, Akiyama, Ryobi, Hamada, etc, the TY-200 PB ensures: increase in efficiency, reduction in make-ready wastage, and zero plate re-makes due to zero plate punching and/or plate bending registration errors. Other highlighted features of TY-200 PB include: CCD camera enabled magnification of print register marks up to optical zoom easy visual inspection, pneumatic system for plate punching, enabling to accept all offset plates up to size IV width.
