The Printing Technologists Forum celebrates 31st Founding Day

Entering its 31st year of existence, The Printing Technologists Forum, Chennai celebrated its Founding Day on December 10, 2011. On the occasion, the forum also honoured their 19 longstanding members. A keynote address on ‘the future of Indian print media & related industries’ was given by VS Narayanan, general manager – technical, Dinamalar, national Tamil daily. Quoting World Press Trends survey report from WAN-IFRA, he informed about positive growth for Indian newspapers and in general for other print media. Due to increased literacy and Indian printers upgrading their technology, the outlook is good with the Indian machine manufacturers also offering machines at competitive rates, the speaker asserted.
