COVID-19 was thought to have originated in a seafood market where wildlife was sold illegally. But later, Chinese researchers told that virus could have spread from an infected animal to humans. This has led to a major shutdown in Wuhan city in China. All industries are affected and the disease is spreading to other countries as well.

Many countries have put a ban on foreign tourists and many fairs have been either cancelled or rescheduled. Till now, there is no communication from Messe Dusseldorf on the upcoming drupa 2020 on whether the printing mecca will be held on its scheduled dates or not.
