Aiming to bring a whole new spectrum of printing products and solutions, Creed Engineers has achieved another milestone by introducing their new brand, Vinsak. Under this new brand with the encouraging motto ‘Moving Ahead’, the company is offering a wide range of products and solutions, including CtP thermal and PS plates, chemicals, inkjet solutions and much more, which will not only improve profitability but also push for sustainable growth of printers’ business plans.

Apart from launching Vinsak 302 EDLF flexo plate-making system catering to a large format of plate sizes of 36×48 inch (90×120 cm), they started offering their new inkjet solutions—VIS 256 and VIS 1200, which are based on drop-on-demand (DOD) technology. With the growing need in the market for Solvent and UV curable inkjet systems, these two products will surely fill the lacunae. The VIS 256 is a compact, fully integrated head with no base unit as all the electronics are integrated within the head itself. VIS 256 is ready to print in five minutes and can be operated with UV-curable and solvent-based inks. It can be used to print on a variety of substrates like paper, coated paper, foils, and plastic cards among other applications like addressing and personalization for mailings, magazines, newspapers, numbering applications for tickets, lotteries and any application where variable data needs to be applied. The VIS 256 inkjet system costs three times less than the binary inkjets in the market.

The Vinsak VIS 1200 is a modular, wide format printing system that also can print on a variety of different substrates, like coated paper, gloss paper, films and holograms. It has a fully automated head mounting and cleaning station. The piezoelectric actuator enables 600dpi x 600dpi image quality with up to 4 levels of grey scale (visually 1,200 dpi) by controlling drop size.

Even companies like Renu Prints and UFLEX have been so impressed with the performance of Creed Engineers that Renu Prints has ordered two Flytech 150 machines from Creed, which are capable of detecting print and colour quality, while UFLEX has chosen Vinsak security software for brand protection efforts in their cylinder-making division.

Meanwhile, Creed Engineers announced the first label press sale of Rotatek Brava 440 to Update Prints. It is also the first Brava press in Asia with an in-line combination of silk screen and hot foil stamping. The press has been designed to carry out offset as well as flexo printing, embossing, cold foil stamping and lamination. As per Rajesh Chadha, managing director, Update Prints, “The Brava 440 is a high-end press to be used for our diversification needs of carton printing and converting purposes with variable print length.” Brava 440 runs at a speed of 150 mt/min in full rotary mode and 65 mt/min in semi-rotary mode with a printing width of 420 mm. The press can print substrates like self-adhesives, paper, structured paper, cardboard, PVC and polyester among others. The Brava 440 at Update includes both intermittent and continuous rotary operation. Update Prints has just moved to a state-of-the-art, 40,000 sq ft print production facility at Gurgaon.
