With a mission, zeal and desire to keep going in spite of all odds, Ashwani and Akhil Chopra, the brothers have no looking back since 2003, when they established their own set-up of printing unit, prior to that they were operating as a ‘freelance group’ like many in print industry. But there are few who can scale up to the next level, where they confidently show to the world A to Z spectrum of graphic arts. With a brand of ‘AP India’, this team of two brothers having extensive experience in the printing industry, has come a long way and continue offering all the services required by any print-buyer. Be it a modest ‘Business Card’ or a bulky 256 pages brochure; hand bag tag of any airlines with an eyelet or value added POP stuff required by telecom/insurance companies, for all have the possibilities to be executed very efficiently by team-AP India, having much younger staff with average age of 25 years. Perhaps with such secrets of their fast growth, AP India predicts to achieve its group turnover of Rs 15 crore this year. The unique selling point (USP) of AP India goes towards offering personalised service adhering to time schedule and value added services beyond normal CMYK printing which include ‘variable data’, UV/lamination, screen printing, die-punching, digital printing, etc. “In spite of having top of the bouquet of services to offer to our clients, they are becoming more and more demanding in terms of much faster deliveries and with further reduced price tag, which sometimes pinches. But we do understand the philosophy of a buyer and keep trying our best to fit the bill,” conveyed Akhil Chopra sharing his views with SK Khurana, editor-Print & Publishing, who recently visited their facility at Okhla Industrial Area in New Delhi.

Akhil and Ashwani ChopraThe company’s efforts continue to achieve maximum productivity from men and machines which as of now include: one five-colour Komori Lithrone (19”x26”), one new four-colour Komori Lithrone (28”x40”), one two-colour Heidelberg machine, two single-colour Heidelberg machines, two – small offset machines, Konika Minolta (13”x19”) digital printer. For prepress, they have thermal CtP from Dainippon Screen, and TY-200PB optical register punch bending machine from Rado. Besides, their facility is equipped with: 30” Coater for varnishing; Autoprint digital numbering machine; multiple die-cutting; three programme guillotines; etc.

They have the competence to handle short run to large run jobs and future plans include entering into packaging arena, (for which Ashwani Chopra recently attended an Open House in Pune organised by Bobst India) and for which they are already on the lookout for acquiring much larger piece of land, may be around Greater Noida (NCR). The company has already been offering label printing services, equipped with narrow width back to back label printing machine.

Providing various printing services to wide industry verticals, including: magazines, barcode stickers, tickets, labels, annual reports, tags, stickers, catalogues, brochures, etc, AP India is now one of the fast emerging printers in northern India.
