Awards galore at PAMEX 2023; PAMEX wins Industry Catalyst Award

PAMEX 2023 is scheduled from March 27-30, 2023 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The show will play host to a glittering awards ceremony at the Gala Exhibitors’ Evening on the March 29,2023. AIFMP has decided to institute several new awards to add to the prestigious NAEP and VCPLA Awards that were given away in the last edition. These include:

National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP): These awards were instituted by the AIFMP in 1999 to celebrate the quest for quality that is at the heart of the printing industry. The aim of these awards is to showcase the achievements and contribution of Indian printers and are presented to individuals and organisations for doing exceptional work in their segments.

International Awards for Excellence in Printing (IAEP): To make the NAEP even more valuable and visible at the international arena, AIFMP is planning to announce a new segment of awards for the international entries- the ‘International Awards for Excellence in Printing’ (IAEP). With other terms and conditions would be like the NAEP, the categories would be limited for this set of awards.

Viren Chhabra Print Leadership Award (VCPLA): These awards were established in 2019, in the memory of Viren Chhabra, the most loved mentor figure of India’s Print Industry- who went far beyond standard obligations to become a significant force in shaping the business of printed communications. Viren Chhabra Print Leadership Award is recognized throughout the graphic art industry as the OSCAR for printing in India.

Prof. (Dr.) Rajendrakumar Anayath, Vice Chancellor, DCR University of Science & Technology has been declared the recipient of the VCPLA Award for 2022 and he will be felicitated with the honour at the PAMEX 2023.

Top 10 of Indian Printing Industry: At PAMEX 2023, AIFMP will also be announcing another new category of awards- “Top 10 of Indian Printing Industry”. These awards will be extended to the top Commercial/Book Printer, Packaging Printer, Label Printer, Print Exporter, Machinery Manufacturer, Inks/chemical Manufacturer,

Paper Mill, Machinery Exporter, Allied Material Manufacturer and Woman Entrepreneur. Decision will be made based on the certified turnover and other documentary evidence of the nominated companies and a national level qualified expert committee would decide the year’s winners.

Pamex bags the Industry Catalyst Award

The 6th mega edition of Exhibition Excellence Awards was held recently at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida to felicitate exhibition organisers for their exceptional work and contribution towards the industry. The Annual Industry Awards were being held after a hiatus of two years due to the Pandemic. The shows that happened during 2020 to 2022 were considered for the awards.

PAMEX 2020 received the ‘Industry Catalyst’ Award at the event. The Industry Catalyst award is given to the exhibition which helped promote the business of its target industry most effectively by providing business opportunities to its participants.

Organized by Exhibition Showcase magazine, the Exhibition Excellence Awards 2022 received the acknowledgment and support of IEIA – the Voice of the Indian Exhibition Industry along with prominent industry bodies like Indian Exhibitions, Conferences & Events Services Association (IESA), India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA), Association of Domestic

Tour Operators Of India (ADTOI), Indian Association of Travel & Tourism Experts (IATTE), prominent Govt. body for MSME – NSIC and leading international industry bodies – International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Asian Federation of Exhibition & Convention Associations (AFECA) for its 6th mega edition.

Over 500 exhibition organizers, trade & professional associations, trade bodies, PCO’s, event venues and MICE stakeholders attended the event.

The next edition of PAMEX is scheduled for March 2023 and the award comes at the opportune time to underline the growing stature of the exhibition in the international calendar of events for the printing industry.


AIFMP building foundation laid in Manesar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar laid the foundation stone for the construction of building of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) at IMT Manesar, Gurugram after Bhoomi Pujan. This building will be constructed on an area of about 1,400 square metre in Sector-2, Manesar.

During the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his views about the importance of printing. He said that it is impossible to imagine publishing newspapers, books without a printing platform. He said that printing has a 30,000 year old history. He further said that the importance of printing has not declined over the years. He said that the All India Federation of Master Printers was established 70 years ago and since then there has been a lot of change in the printing techniques. He elaborated that a writer conveys his ideas to the people through his writings. However, writing and publishing has been replaced by digital platforms, but it is necessary to develop both platforms together. Sharing his life experiences, he said that he had learnt the printing press work during his school days. He said that presently printing courses are being run in five universities of Haryana.
