Big salute to a real visionary and tech icon

Steve Jobs, founder of Apple passed away on October 05, 2011. With this, the world has lost a pioneer tech icon who transformed the world with his innovative ideas, and we would have expected much more from him in the years to come. His brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. Along with others, the graphic arts industry can never forget Steve’s contributions which revolutions it through various devices including iPad.

By building one of the planet’s most successful companies from his garage, he exemplified the spirit of ingenuity. And by turning his talents to storytelling, he has brought joy to millions of children and grownups alike. Steve was fond of saying that he lived every day like it was his last. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented,” conveyed the US president Barack Obama, in his statement on the passing of Steve Jobs.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple, said Apple CEO Tim Cook in message sharing the very sad news with all Apple employees. “Today the world lost a visionary leader, the technology industry lost an iconic legend, and I lost a friend and fellow founder. The legacy of Steve Jobs will be remembered for generations to come,” conveyed Dell CEO Michael Dell.

In August this year, Steve Jobs resigned as chief executive officer of Apple and was elected chairman of the Board of Directors. On August 24, 2011 in his letter to the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community, Steve Jobs said, “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come. I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee. I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.”
