Attendees will receive a comprehensive update on Ipex 2014, including briefings on the planned visitor features and content programme, as well as the international marketing campaign and worldwide PR strategy for the event. In addition, participants will hear from Ipex President Patrick Martell and other thought leaders in the fast-evolving global print industry. The Open Day will also give delegates a significant head start with their own exhibition marketing, with practical tips and tricks from Simon Naudi, CEO of Answers Training International on maximising their exhibition ROI as well as the necessary information to access Ipex’s co-marketing opportunities and generating pre-event coverage in influential industry publications.

Throughout the day, Open Day visitors will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the Ipex partners, including Events in Focus (accommodation). Trevor Crawford, Ipex 2014 event director, commented, “With Ipex 2014 only six months away, we’re entering an exciting phase in the build-up to the event. The Open Day has been carefully developed to provide attendees with everything they need to know.” IPEX is the biggest event for print, publishing and media within the English speaking world. More than 1,200 exhibitors are expected to present innovative product and technologies at the fair itself.

Earlier the Ipex 360 Committee met with the event organisers in London to discuss plans for the event. The committee deliberated the best ways to combine the event’s features and robust programme content to ensure maximum visitor engagement and benefits, in addition to the wealth of technologies that will be showcased by exhibitors.

Amanda Lovelock, print specialist, special products & materials group at Honda Trading Europe Ltd, commented, “For specifiers and marketers, Ipex 2014 will provide the opportunity to see and hear about the latest print applications and opportunities, and how it fits in with multi-channel marketing campaigns. I look forward to seeing features like ‘Inspiration Avenue’ and ‘Future Innovations’ that promise to deliver a host of ideas and takeaways that can be put into practice.”

The next Ipex 360 Committee meeting will take place in December 2013.
