VEEPEE Graphic Solutions are in the pre-press business for the last 53 years. With 2 CDI’s, multiple seats of editing softwares from Esko, plate making system and the new Digiflow technology from Dupont, VEEPEE group is one of the premier pre-press trade shops in India. Here Jai Chandra (JC) shares more about his company in conversation with P&P on the sidelines of LabelExpo India, New Delhi. The VEEPEE group was established in 1961 by late V Peethambaram, a self taught artist with good entrepreneurial abilities and great motivation. He steered VEEPEE from modest beginnings to a premier pre-press trade shop in South India. The family owned group is now managed by his sons Jai Prakash and Jai Chandra under the guidance of the matriarch Leela Peethambaram who is the guiding light and strength of group’s success.

The young entrepreneurs fondly known as JP (Jai Prakash) and JC are masters in their own specialty and strive to uphold the VEEPEE principle of outstanding quality and customer satisfaction. “Our clients are benefited from the in depth knowledge we have about the flexo printing process and we feel great to interact with them,” shared JC.

“We enjoy the highest level of support from global suppliers like DuPont, Toyobo, Dainippon Screen, Esko, MGI, Agfa, Kodak, etc, due to their quality conscious service and dedication. This has earned us recognition and numerous awards and crowned one amongst the competitors. Needless to say, our biggest asset is our highly motivated and skilled workforce with an unflinching work attitude to take on the challenge and pressure of day to day work schedule. JC was seen busy but happily giving technical advice and solutions to people at LabelExpo and on asking about the response he was getting, he shared, “It’s really good. We are going to add at least 10-15 new accounts to our list of clients. We are not only selling our services, we also advice them about the machines and technology that will suit them the best.”

“The Flexo pre-press and plate processing division is one of the best in the industry, with state-of-the-art technology from EskoArtwork and DuPont. In fact we are one of the few Dupont approved Flexo trade shops in India. Equipped with state-of-theart pre-press software from EskoArtwork, we undertake complicated packaging jobs. Our workflow process is custom suited to take care of the most complicated trapping and colour issues in packaging jobs. We go the extra mile to be in line with printing machine parameters than doing what is just possible. Each job is finally proofed in the latest GMG proofing solutions to meet ICC standards,” he further added.

Having a long list of satisfied customers and clients from various countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Middle East, Sri Lanka, etc, the company’s next expansion is to have presence at multi locations. They are all set to open a new unit in North India and south-east Asia. On asking about client relationship management, he added, “Whatever the pre-press treatment demand, we do have all the requisite softwares, best practices, knowledge and expertise, high end screening technologies, for applications as diverse as offset printing, multi colour screen printing, letterpress printing, textile printing, and the highly demanding and pre press intensive jobs of dry offset printing onto aluminium and plastic cans and of course the most demanding flexography printing. The most modern techniques and multi colour and spot colour handling of solids, vignettes, screens rendering, take our pre press to its zenith which finds appreciation from our clients and print managers and customers. We can process plates up to 42 x 60 inches with very high standard of quality. A dedicated and skilled workforce backed up by the infrastructure has brought a lot of national and international awards for our customers.

Just to name a few, our jobs have got seven IFTA, two AFTA, in the last two years and this year we have five nominations for FINAT award. We are exclusively well equipped for the best service in conventional as well as digital photo polymer printing plates.” With so much in store, VEEPEE is bound to script newer success stories.
