Monotech Systems installed its first full color UV inkjet label press in China

Second machine to be installed in India

Monotech Systems has announced the first installation of ColorNovo- full colour UV inkjet label production system in China. The solution installed is CMYK – ColorNovo UV inkjet installed on label converting & finishing line; and next ColorNovo will soon be installed at leading label manufacturer and supplier in India where it will be installed on customer’s existing flexo label printing machine.

Label printing market is going through a transition period where run lengths are becoming shorter, margins are shrinking and short turnaround time is the need of the hour. Here, ColorNovo bridges the gap between end users and the label printers enabling them to print on demand. It utilizes the state-of-the-art and most reliable DOD inkjet print head technology that prints high quality labels at 600 x 600 dpi native resolutions up to speed of 70 m/min and up to 330 mm print widths. Complete digital label press consists of ColorNovo CMYK + White Inkjet module, with inline Corona, web cleaner, two registered servo Flexo, Cold Foil, Lamination Die cut, Slitting & Dual Rewind system units. This machine is at par with any international technology in terms of quality.”

Monotech Systems has network of channel partners for their entire JETSCI Inkjet systems range of products expanding their reach to Turkey, Latin America, Middle East, China, Africa, ASEAN, Sri Lanka and Russia.

Mittal added, “We have started looking at exports seriously this year. In the last six months, the inkjet division exported many turnkey solutions to China, Middle East, Turkey, Africa & ASEAN Region. The sales force in each region is trained to sell and service these machines.”

Monotech Systems has recently shifted its manufacturing facility of JETSCI products at Gurgaon in a much bigger and state-of-the art facility that aims to deliver the quality products in minimum time.

JC Graphics installs MK Easymatrix 106CS

Once again, Vijayawada’s JC Graphics reaffirmed its trust in Heidelberg, by installing a MK Easymatrix 106CS Die-Cutter. The MK Easymatrix 106CS, an automatic die-cutter meets the precise requirement of JC Graphics, which specializes in packaging & commercial printing, stationery printing and the monocarton business.

“We believe that we share the same values as Heidelberg, like commitment to quality printing. So, we keep coming back for more,” smiles Karunakar, the managing director of JC Graphics.

Motorized cutting pressure adjustment for up to 260 tons, helps the Easymatrix 106CS perform die-cutting and embossing operations at a speed of 7,700 with thickness ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm and corrugated board up to 4mm without any changes in the feeder. Other impressive features include non-stop rake delivery for uninterrupted production during pile changes and a Quick-Lock system to increase the speed and accuracy of the die-cutting process. The Quick-Lock system ensures rapid and precise positioning of tools on the stripping frame, eliminating time-consuming, manual re-positioning of tools for each production run.

(L-R) Rajendra and Sanagmeswara Rao with the Speedmaster SM 74 four colour pressIn a bid to fortify its professional print offerings and expand its user community, Srilekha Power Printers installed a Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 four-colour press. “Our investment in the Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74-4 clearly demonstrates our strategy to capture new market opportunities, while strengthening our existing customer base,” smiles Sangameswara Rao, one of the two partners of the Vijayawada-based printing firm, which specializes in printing posters, pamphlets, brochures, catalogues, books, and preprinted office stationery.

“The SM 74-4 is an ideal fit for our high-volume business. The fabulous level of automation is the highlight. Manual intervention is significantly reduced by 70–75%. To us, this means less stress and higher productivity,” comments Rajendra, the other partner who is a print technocrat. A high-performance Prinect press center acts as the control station in a Speedmaster SM74-4, slicing the number of operating steps by 70%.

The Speedmaster SM74-4 is equipped with automation features like ‘Auto Plate’ that ensure quicker plate changes, cutting down make-ready and setup times notably vs. other presses. A highly automated feeder with central suction tape handles a wide array of print substrates, from thin paper to board, ranging in thickness from 0.03 mm to 0.6 mm.

High production speeds of up to 15,000 sheets per hour can be achieved with the Speedmaster SM 74-4. Lateral sheet separation blowers separate sheets more effectively and ensure smooth sheet travel, regardless of the printing stock being used. A fully automatic perfecting device enables printing on both sides of a sheet in a single pass, facilitating cost-effective production and faster throughput times for print jobs.

“Long-run jobs represent a major chunk of our business. So, we opted for the high-pile delivery configuration that requires fewer pile changes. Sheets don’t get scratched or smeared during perfecting or work-and-turn operations. The Venturi nozzles in the sheet guide plate takes care of that,” observes Rajendra.

Advanced and innovative Fiery technology from EFI

EFI has announced the availability of the next generation of its industry leading Fiery production printing platform. The Fiery FS300 Pro platform is accompanied by a completely redesigned Command WorkStation that dramatically improves the industry’s most trusted job management application. In less than two months, more than 41,000 have already upgraded to the new version to run their print shops more productively.

One of these include New Delhi-based Avantika Printers Pvt Ltd, which produces more work per shift thanks to the Command WorkStation 6’s strengthened search features. High fusion ink from Xerox to change economics of commercial inkjet printing

Xerox India has launched Xerox Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press that produces high-quality results direct to offset coated paper on the Trivor 2400, removing the need for intermediate coating processes, primers or added hardware.

The Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press allows print providers to expand their inkjet media range to produce cost-effective, higher-value personalized jobs such as direct mail, catalogs, magazines and color books. High Fusion Ink is specially formulated to optimize printing and drying on offset coated media including matte, silk and glass stock from 60 to 250 gsm, up to 250 feet per minute.

Speaking on the launch, Balaji Rajagopalan, executive director - Technology & Channels, India and International Business - Xerox India said “We are thrilled to announce the launch of Xerox Trivor 2400. It’s an exciting time to be in inkjet. According to InfoTrends, production colour inkjet print will account for 57% of the total production digital colour page volume by 2019. This represents a tremendous opportunity for print providers and the time to get in the inkjet game is now.”

While High Fusion Ink is optimized for commodity offset coated papers, it also runs on a range of uncoated media, providing cost-effective redundancy for a versatile set of print jobs.

The Xerox Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press will be available for installs starting in October worldwide.
