Shanghai opens first car wrapping centre

Optimism in China’s vehicle wrapping segment is being observed as Shanghai’s first personalised car wrapping service has just opened with support from Avery Dennison’s Graphics & Reflective Products Division. The car wrapping centre called Shanghai Star Touch leverages Avery Dennison’s advanced pressure-sensitive materials and application techniques to personalise private vehicles with professionally finished graphic ‘wraps’.

With the technical and marketing support of Avery Dennison, a world leader in self-adhesive and specialty media, Shanghai Star Touch aims to create a unique service to meet the real and growing needs in the country’s vehicle wrapping market. Avery Dennison worked closely with Star Touch as it designed and developed the latter’s innovative new business concept, providing application training and product support for diverse car wrapping services.

Services available at Shanghai Star Touch includes ‘colour change’, which can be done using high-quality conformable pressure-sensitive films that provide long-term colour durability and withstand harsh outdoor conditions; ‘paint protection’ by using unique clear or colour pressure-sensitive films for maximum paint protection; and ‘personalised decoration’ conducted with the help of digital printable pressure-sensitive films offering colourful graphics to meet consumers’ individual needs.
