Indore’s Govind Digital diversifies into digital printing with RICOH
A prominent pre-press bureau based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Govind Digital Print Art has recently been forayed intodigital printing arena with the strategic investment in a RICOH Pro C9500 digital colour production press, which is installed by Monotech Systems Limited.
“Our relationship with Monotech Systems Limited is dated back to the day when we bought a Cron UV CtP system from them in 2022,” tells Hemant Billore, Partner at Govind Digital Print Art. Run by three brothers as business partners—Hemant Billore, Govinda Billore, and Durgesh Billore—leading a team of 10 highly-skilled print professionals, Govind Digital Print Art over the last one decade has proven itself as a leading pre-press bureau capable to deliver more than 500 plates per day. Now, it’s the company’s turn to make it in a similar manner in the digital printing arena as well, offering short-run and print-on-demand (POD) jobs with the recent installation of the RICOH Pro C9500.
Robust in nature, RICOH Pro C9500 is designed vigorously for high-volume jobs with accuracy in colours and print quality. It is capable to operate at an unprecedented speed, which is upgradable to 135 ppm, for delivering graphic prints in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400×4800 dpi. Media flexibility of the digital press is laudable as it prints substrates as thin as 40 gsm up to 470 gsm thick, which eventually enables Govind Digital Print Art to engage in printing and production of a vast range of applications.
“RICOH Pro C9500 has built up our confidence to make wave in the digital printing arena. Compared to any other digital production press in its class, this RICOH workhorse is built strong to run at high speed on widest range of lightweight as well as heavyweight stocks,” says Hemant.“
According to Hemant, what they are currently producing using the RICOH Pro C9500 consists of a range of short-run and POD items, viz. books, cards, catalogues, etc.
