First copy of the book was received by A Appadurai, country manager, Hewlett Packard India Sales Pvt Ltd who gave full support from compilation to printing of the book. Printed at P M Digital Products by P Chellappan, managing partner, he compiled the charts under the guidance of V Ganesh Kumar, FOGRA Partner.

This book consists of 110 blocks of 121 CMYK colour combinations which amounts to a total of 13,310 colour patches. It also contains 1045 Pantone Shades in their equivalent CMYK combination. From 0% 10 100% in steps of 10%, 121 shades in 10 blocks for 0% to 100% combination of CMYK colours are given. The 11th block contains Pantones as CMYK are given. To avoid distortion while looking at the shades as a whole, two viewing frames, white and dark background are provided.

Printed on HP Indigo 5600 Press with HP Indigo Electroink on 170 gsm gloss art paper with L* a* b* values, the book is a ready colour reference book for digital printing presses. Such a book is planned for offset presses as well.

Priced at Rs. 750, the book gives the real value as the printers can save on purchasing the expensive Pantone Shades Book and can look readily what CMYK combination to be chosen for printing. The publisher offers excellent discounts on the book for bulk purchases or special sales.
