AIFMP: an update

The 235th Governing Council (GC) meeting of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) was hosted by Telangana Offset Printers Association at Hyderabad. Around 200 GC members were present during this meeting, which deliberated on various issues concerning the printing industry including the latest technological developments in the field. The meeting also gave an opportunity to printers to exchange views to interact with each other regarding matters of mutual interest.

More recently, AIFMP signed an MoU with Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC), China for providing training in ‘3-D Printing’ and ‘Printed Electronics’ to the print professionals, students and teachers of printing in India. The training of these future technologies are not available at present in India. Prof. Kamal Chopra, president AIFMP, said, in consultation with the BIGC authorities it is decided that the training of the first batch will start on 15th of May and the valedictory function for this batch will be organized on 11th August, 2017.

Besides, AIFMP has also planned a group visit of about 200 print professionals to visit Shanghai from April 10-13, to know and understand the system of working of their counter parts in China.During this visit, AIFMP is going to celebrate India Day on 12th April at Shanghai.
