Historic installation of Oce Arizona at SV Color Graphics, Bengaluru

Bengaluru-based SV Color Graphics has walked the talk by marking a landmark adoption of an Oce Arizona 360 GT UV flatbed, first ever printer-of-its-kind in the country. Official inauguration of the Oce printer by Dr Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president, Canon India was swarmed with eminent guests comprising industry leaders, well wishers, prospective clients and lots more among others. Dropping in at the grand opening of the new printer at the state-of-the-art production division of SV Color Graphics included Print & Publishing editor, SK Khurana who discovers the company’s fresh synergies through the new Oce Arizona 360 GT UV Flatbed printer.

Doubtless to declare SV Color Graphics as one of the most acclaimed one-stop complete printing solution providers in Bengaluru. Having had a background in cable manufacturing business, the company’s activities in digital printing, print-on-demand, variable data, lamination, graphic designing and other pre and post-press jobs have been a hierarchical path paved by a team of joint family members since 14 years. And now their overall tasks of large-format/signage prints have taken a big turn following the adoption of the Oce Arizona 360 GT UV flatbed printer from Canon India. “We have invested around Rs 3 crore in the new production setup where installed the Oce printer,” said Tilak Raj of SV Color Graphics.

SV Color Graphics’ main production facility located at MG Road is equipped with a complete portfolio of machineries and activities which include B/W and colour Xerox presses, variable data printing, negative and transparency scanning, flex printing and sun board mounting, etc. The facility also caters all kinds of binding, different types of laminations and others like polymer, pre-inked, self inking seals and company common seal.

Performance appraisals

So far so good, a team led by P Sudarshan Kumar along with his two sons, Tilak Raj and Gyan Raj M is the vigour behind the success of SV Color Graphics. Tilak who is an MBA in marketing would handle this new production division for Oce Arizona 360 GT UV flatbed printer. “We have full confident of robust ROI with our new Oce printer,” he said signifying the printer’s versatility in printing on any given substrates or rigid materials. He further added that the Oce Arizona series can do magic in anything on all range of indoor and outdoor applications.

Oce Arizona 360 GT is equipped with a standard sized table, designed for mid-volume productions. It is capable to handle rigid media size of 1.25×2.50 m with 48 mm thickness. Also, the printer is supported by Oce VariaDot printing technology with two printheads/colour, single row design, 6-42 picolitre droplets, 318 nozzles and roll media and white ink options. “Oce Arizona 360 GT can run at the speed of 377 sq ft/hr in express mode and 71 sq ft/hr in high definition mode,” remarked Tilak. He further added that the printer can print on irregularly-shaped objects or non-square media, heavy substrates like glass and uneven surfaces.

Everyone at the inaugural session of the Oce printer dropped their jaws in surprise to see the spectrum of stunning jobs printed on the UV flatbed machine. “Oce Arizona printers can deliver near photographic image quality,” said Dr Alok Bharadwaj adding that the roll media option of the printer is for printing onto flexible materials.
