Human resources techniques seminar held in Chennai

To realize the power of being self to the participants gearing for change, a successful seminar was recently conducted by The Printing Technologists Forum at Heidelberg India office premises in Chennai. At this human resources techniques seminar, the participants took keen interest in ‘knowing themselves’. Divided into five sessions, the sessions dealt with psychometric tests, development psychology, key facets of human management, characteristics of different personalities and importance of personality management. Supervisors from e-publishing and newspaper establishment, a print accademician and fifteen press owners (small and medium) forming the participants, it made sense to them to evaluate their own strengths and weaknesses and methods to judge the persons working under them. Being interactive at every stage, assessments were done by the seminar facilitator and group discussions taking place.

Case studies of CP Gurnani, CEO, Mahindra Satyam and CK Ranganathan, owner of CavinKare were also presented explaining how they became successful in their field. The seminar was inaugurated early by V Murali, director, RIND and RS Bakshi, president of the Forum, presided over the programme.
