This world record breaking attempt took place on the company’s six-colour Rapida 106. The press ran 1,27,625 sheets of 74 x 106 sq cm (29.5 x 41.5 sq inch) paperboard in less than seven hours with an average speed of 18,964 sph.

The average output of the Rapida 106 which can run at speeds of up to 20,000 sph was thus higher than the maximum output of any other press in this format class. James Gordon, president and CEO of Winston Packaging, said, “We are proud to be operating this highperformance Rapida press at our facility. This amazing record reinforces our purchase decision to go with a KBA and clearly shows that we have the most productive medium-format press on the global market.”
